Welcome to the home of the ASF Airsoft Organization, ASF is not a league of different Airsoft teams, but one cohesive unit that spans a rather great distance over the western united states.  ASF currently has membership in the states of California, Utah, Colorado, Oregon, Nevada, And Arizona.  And is projected to grow even bigger.  ASF is a military simulation team that does not portray any one unit of any one military in the world, but portrays itself as its own family, team, and cohesive fighting force within the sport of Airsoft.  The organization wishes to bring a higher level to the sport, and camaraderie of its units.  If this is your first time visiting you can find out more information by visiting the "About Our Organization" page.

Food For Thought

Southern Utah Extended Efforts

Anyone remember Southern Utah?  The once 4th Btln was promoted to 2nd Btln about three months after its creation.  It sparked a controversy amongst allot of members, but it seemed that the commanders of the organization knew what they were doing, and soon all was quiet and agreed with.  However not much news has come from this Battalion since then.  So naturally when we saw what the organization was doing for the southern Utah team, we were amazed.  In fact our jaws dropped at what effort our commanding officers are putting into this unit.  ASF was lucky to be able to be the first real organized team in the southern Utah area, so we weren't surprised that over $600.00 alone went to expanding its borders all the way through Cedar City, and even Mesquite Nevada!

ASF has already stated and shown that its intentions are to spread the sport of Airsoft in a professional and fun manner.  "We must view this as a terrorist Occupied city, we have just invaded and occupied, and must now wage war against all who are deceived,  our soldiers are recruiters, our enemy is anyone who doesn't know what Airsoft really is and how fun it can be" said the senior commanding officer for the 2nd Btln.  Advertisements have been hitting the streets, in shop windows and invading parking lots on car windows.  Even a television commercial is said to be debuting soon on local channels.  It seems that ASF is sparing no cost in order to get the 2nd Btln to be the biggest of them all.  General Taylor said at a press conference last Monday that the goal of Southern Utah was a flagship of our organization, one that will uphold the rules and regulations, and show a standard of professionalism like no other.  Some say the decision to help the southern Utah team out the most was based on faith, as Utah is a major faith based state.  Many top ranking officers within the organization are Christians & Catholics. Although we are not accusing religion to be taking any effect in the decisions of the commanding officers, we do know that faith despite religion (except Muslim.....they might have a knife ready to stab you) is a good thing.

So what will come of ASF's major Advertisement push, and recruitment efforts, will Airsoft someday soon take over the Utah seen?  We will just have to see.  But we do know one thing, Utah is beating every other Btln in community service points for the calendar year!

Quick Update & Forums Back Online

We are back online.  For those of you who don't know over the past two weeks we have been busy with the primary inspection and inventory, we are now finished, It looks like ASF has had another year of minimal loss.  Although I cant go in to detail about the information, the reports have confirmed that there has been minimal loss it is because of this that budgets for all units will be cut lower over the next two months to make up for the taxes having to be payed for missing equipment.  This budget cut will most likely be in small items, such as ranks, patches and dress attire.

In other news the ASF database program is to be updated, We have been told that this will be an entirely new program, so the old program will be obsolete and thrown out.

The ASF blue force tracker will be receiving an update within a few days, this update will be loaded with features, including the ability to go into a 3d mode and view the battlefield in a 3d topographic map.  This is sure to be a fun addition to any operation.  especially for large ones.

Last but not least the forums are back online, you will no longer receive an error when trying to post.  Everything should be up and running once more.

Oregon Hits Probation!

over the past few months membership within the organizations 4th Btln in the state of Oregon has dropped below normal levels.  Four (4) members were lost due to moving, and one (1) was lost due to financial problems.  This has placed the 4th Btln under probation of membership, meaning budget cuts have started and the possibility of getting worse seems evident.  Captain Summers the northern Oregon commanding officer has stated that he will do all it takes to save his detachment, and has promised to have his unit out of probation within two Weeks.  The leadership committee is not so assured though.  Recruitment has been up in most detachments of the organization, and the only one lagging behind is 4th Btln.  We are all praying for Captain Summers and his men, and hope that the family doesn't loose its brothers up in Oregon.

Thank You Airsoftica!

For those that do not yet know, Airsoftica is an Airsoft news website, dedicating itself to bringing the news to the Airsoft communities all around the nation and the globe.  These guys have brought a new meaning to Airsoft news, and we at ASF believe that Airsoftica is the most trusted name in news at this point.  So we encourage any members, friends, or passer by's to join in the Airsoftica community, and start being active in a place where friendliness reigns!  You can visit their website by clicking here, or by clicking on their banner to the left of this post.

New Supply Crate Upgrades!

Some news has just hit the wire.  It seems that some new crates are being made for the organization, these crates do not differ much from the old ones however are bigger in length and house a section to place magazines.  1st Lt. Jeremy Cook from first Btln is the one responsible for heading up this change.  Good Work!

Forums Up!

Forums are now up and linked properly.  Some minor construction still stands however most is finished.  These forums are the most basic way of communication with ASF, features have been stripped down to the bare minimum.  No regulations have yet to be set up, however any member of the organization signing onto the forums must also email their username to the administration in order to get access to membership areas.  The email is to include your serial number and secret code.  So go and post, make it active for the first time!

Where's Our Publications?

With some new changes being made to the organization, rules and regulations being changed on small scales, some classroom instructors are left scratching out parts of the ASF field manuals that are no longer to be taught to the membership.  Although very minor additions and subtractions from only a few manuals, it still leaves frustration wide open, and many in a confused situation.  It turns out that the issue was actually brought up to the leadership committee Monday morning, and all agreed that the new publication of manuals and booklets will be withheld possibly even till next January, In order to receive all of the changes and minimize the amount of printing that will have to be done.  We do understand the reasoning behind this, however we will have to deal with manuals from early 2007 for possibly the next year.

Weekly Game Times Update

Two ASF units have changed their weekly game times, so we thought it be useful to post such information directly on the front page.  All weekly games are open to the public, and at this moment there is a page dedicated to this subject being created.  but for now here are the updates.  Most time changes have been made due to heat issues during the hot summer.  Attendance has been down significantly in California for example.

CA: Sundays 5pm ~ 10pm (Varies) || OR: Fridays 7pm ~ 10pm || UT: 8pm ~ Midnight (Varies)

If you have any questions, would like to be sure on exact times of the games, please contact the headquarters at asfhq@asfairsoft.com, a reply will be sent in a timely manner.  Please note that games are not obligated to start and end at given times.  Many units who schedule often go hours passed the end time (last year 3am was the latest) during a great moving game with motivated players.

Forums Update

Despite the message boards being very popular in the past (most members seem to still call instead of post.....) the web development team is now issuing a bulletin that they will be up in 24 hours.  Apparently since the boards have been tailored to a complete custom fashion from a non standard php code it took quite a lot longer then first thought.  Hopefully this time we will get more membership involvement instead of public.  There has also been talk of passing a regulations amendment, making it required to be active on the forums.  but no news on that as of yet.
