About Our Organization
"ASF" is a multi-state Airsoft Unit, put together by a small group of friends in southern California in the year of our lord two thousand and two (2002). Over the next few years the team grew, Members started leaving and moving away as with any team, Some were very motivated to be carrying the name of the organization, so it spread, into the organization we know of today. With over 80 members divided into six (6) states, ASF has become a well known name in the smaller Airsoft communities.
All members within the organization play the sport of Airsoft first and foremost for the fun of the game, everything our members do is committed voluntarily. However all members understand that they must be dedicated and committed to the organization and the sport that it plays. The things that we value most is our unity, not only the friendliness to the public but also to the "family like" unity that our members contain. ASF strives for excellence and a professional outlook and relies on the dedication, commitment and honor of its members.
The "ASF" organization is a Non Profit educational sport's based Society. We exist for the sole purpose of remembering and paying tribute to combat soldiers and military personnel throughout the world while having fun. Our Organizations events consist of battle re-enactments and public displays including conventions, in an effort to better educate the general public as well as ourselves on the daily rigors of a common soldier, and the sport of Airsoft, despite nationality. Membership within the organization is open to anyone with a strong interest in combat and modern day soldiery, and is willing to be in a ranked environment . And is not restricted on the basis of race, sex, religious preference or handicap
The Biggest Difference
Many units and teams in the Airsoft and reenactment world seem to always choose to portray the most elite units in military or Hollywood history. After all it is human nature to want to be the best, however its just untrue, and not everyone can be the best of the best. That's why ASF has chosen a completely new and innovative route. The organization does not portray any one military unit in the world, it is in fact its own "army", literally, its own cohesive fighting force. Portraying nobody but ourselves.
Living Our Motto
The Motto of the organization "Einheit Gibt Stärke Mit Gott" is spoken in the German language, capturing the essence of this distinguished organization. Translated, the motto states "Unity Gives Strength With God". It speaks to our commitment for an organization unified with friends sharing a family unity in the sport of Airsoft that no other society has ever had. It also speaks to our dedication to community service, and the extraordinary collaboration between members and their surrounding communities, and to the tradition of service and civic engagement that is typical of our membership.
Community is one of the most important parts of life, and the organization recognizes that. Whether your an Airsoft organization or a homeless shelter, you are still apart of the community. That is why Over the past three years ASF has made it a goal to give back to the community in whatever way it can. This includes volunteer work, community service, fundraisers, and in some instances when emergencies strike, such as the California wildfires in the year two thousand and seven (2007), a few ASF members broke through and were able to help even in the smallest of ways. Giving back to the community we live in is a number one lesson taught at every corner, even small things from picking up a piece of trash to security at an event, helping out is the organizations job, and all the members are ready and willing to show the professionalism that ASF strives for. To make a better name not only for itself but for the sport of Airsoft within its communities is our mission, letting others know that ASF is more then just an Airsoft team, its a family. One that takes pride in the things it does, and the sport it plays.
